 March 23rd: The Role of Biosimilars in Clinical Practice: Evaluating Biosimilars for Clinical Practice

This program has been developed to education healthcare professionals, including pharmacists in managed care, clinical pharmacists and pharmacists/pharmacy technicians on current guidelines and clinical data used to evaluate biosimilars integration into practice.


At the completion of this activity, the Pharmacist will be able to:
1. Describe the current biotherapeutics landscape, including the off-patent status of many biologics and the
emergence of biosimilars in the U.S.
2. Summarize how health-system pharmacists can look to FDA guidance documents now
3. Describe the implications of timely formulary decision-making once biosimilars become available, and the
potential impact on patient access to treatment and on cost savings
